Thailand Day 1 (Part i)

with No Comments

Day 15 of our Asia 2014 vacation, which is also the 1st day of our 6-Day Thailand trip!

Since my dad doesn’t like to discuss trip planning stuff with us because he thinks we’re such a hassle to plan with, he singlehandedly organized the trip with the travel agency for the whole (extended) family.

Apart from my 1&2) parents, 3) Sheena, and 4) I, the relatives who joined us were: 5) Grandpa, 6) an auntie (one of mom’s elder cousins; the one whose family owns the Shih Tzu called Jojo!), my mom’s 7) eldest brother and 8) his wife, my mom’s 9) eldest sister and 10) her husband, and 11) Kevin and 12) his mom! And… that’s how we formed our own tour group hahaha.

To be honest I was a bit disappointed that we were not in Bangkok during the weekend because Chatuchak only fully operates on the weekends! Oh well… next time I guess!

OUR TRIP BEGINS!! First stop: Bangkok for transit to Chiangmai lol

Transit was several hours… so we NAPPED!… since we didn’t know where we could go walk around and we gave up after like 10 minutes lolol.

Waiting to board!

So it's like... a bird-fish... of some sort...

So… it’s like… a bird-fish… of some sort…

I love flying over land. So much more scenic &/ eventful than the Pacific Ocean from YVR > SIN & back @_@!!

So I googled what that rainbow halo around the plane is… and it’s called a GLORY! Such an awesome name! Apparently it “is believed to happen due to classical wave tunneling, when light nearby the droplet tunnels through air inside the droplet and, in the case of a glory, is emitted backwards due to resonance effects”. #CoolStoryBro. I thought it would be more similar to a sundog, but… guess not :O !

NEXT STOP: Doi Suthep Temple!
