Ending May Subtly

with No Comments

Nothing much to blog about since the last post as I’ve been focusing on doing some work, and catching up on lots of sleep hehe. Below are the more interesting events as I did go out on several days.

May 25

Kevin and I met up with Kenson for lunch in Taikoo. Because I was late and Kenson had to rush somewhere after, we ended up eating at Food Republic in Cityplaza (cause we didn’t want to wait for a table at the restaurants) LOL >_<“. Ended up having to wait for quite awhile for our food anyways :T.

Oops, looks like I forgot to take a picture of our food. We just had Pepper Lunch anyway :P haha.

After Kenson left, we went to McD’s to get drinks cause we were parched! We had forgotten to bring water out with us, and didn’t order any drinks at the food court. While we were there we asked if they had the Tasty Card in the fries design, and they did! So I got it :D yay.

Here all all 4 designs cause some of you were interested.

Kevin got Iced McBrew Tea (milk tea) from Zone A and I got the Fuze Tea Honey Pear Tea from Zone B.
I posted the back of the card that showed what you can get from the different zones at the end of this post.

Then we went to the cinema to check out showtimes since we wanted to watch a movie. The showtimes were crappy and since we forgot to bring our 3D glasses out as well (you have to pay to get the glasses here in HK), we decided to home first (we also had a lot of time anyway).

Kevin decided we should watch a movie at Elements because apparently they have one of the nicer cinemas there. We got there, went to buy our tickets for Mad Max, then walked slowly around the mall cause we had a lot of time to kill before the movie at 7:30pm. I wanted to get Häagen-Dazs cause we had coupons to use. The coupons entitled us to 3 scoops of ice cream for the price of 2.

Wheeeeeeeeeee :D ! They put our ice cream in rather big cups though. Maybe they ran out of smaller ones?

In Kevin’s cup: Choc Choc Chip, Strawberry Cheesecake, Cookies & Cream.

In my cup: Rum Raisin, Green Tea, Belgian Chocolate.

My favourite is Rum Raisin (well, probably my all-time favourite ice cream flavour haha) and then Belgian Chocolate (rich, rich chocolate), all though all of them tasted good! I barely tasted any cheesecake in the Strawberry Cheesecake flavour though :T.

We then went around and shopped a bit more. By the time we went to browse the restaurants / menu, we realized we didn’t really have enough time to order and eat before we had to go to the movie :(. So we decided to eat after the movie.

We ended up having a quick dinner at Fairwood before going home. LOL.

Mad Max was awesome by the way. What a crazy movie!

May 29

I went out to look for Kevin to have dinner out by ourselves. He ended up getting off work at like 8:45pm or somewhere around there. Good thing I took my time getting ready and heading out •_•”. Was starving though!! And by the time Kevin came out I decided to just go somewhere simple to eat and then head home. Craved for 菠蘿油 [Bo Lo Yau / pineapple bun with butter], so we hit a 茶餐廳 [Cha Chaan Teng / lit. “tea restaurant”] called Tsui Wah. Turns out they’re sold out, but I guess they’re really only available in the morning to early afternoons anyways :T. So we got 奶油豬仔包 [Zhu Zai Bao / lit. “piggy bun with condensed milk”] LOL •_•.

The piggy bun + their yummy 日本綠茶雪糕紅豆冰 (red bean slush w/ Japanese green tea ice cream).

Forgot what this was called •_• but it’s one of their baked rice. The vegetarian one LOL. It’s not bad.

More interesting stuff in June hopefully! I’ll be heading to Disneyland my second time! Stay tuuuuuuned :).
